The Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology (Canada)

CAPO is an organisation of professionals, clinicians, researchers, educators and others dedicated to the understanding, treatment and study of the social, psychological, emotional, spiritual and quality-of-life aspects of cancer. CAPO provides a number of other useful resources for health professionals including National Psychosocial Oncology Standards and information on screening for distress in cancer patients.

National Cancer Institute (US)

The NCI offers excellent resources on cancer for the general public, people dealing with cancer and health professionals. Areas covered include information on various types of cancers, treatments (including complementary and alternative approaches) and how to cope with treatment, cancer support resources and more technical topics such as prevention and genetics, screening and testing. There is also a selection of more general cancer resources and, extremely useful for the non-medical user, a dictionary of cancer terms.
